MGA Entertainment Inc. (MGAE) secured 40 new licensees, for a total of 80 worldwide licensing partners, for its property Num Noms, scented collectibles that kids can mix, match, and stack in more than 5,000 variations.
This past holiday season, Num Noms became one of the top bestselling toys for girls at retailers such as Toys “R” Us, Walmart, and Target. Additionally, Num Noms was a finalist in the “Collectible of the Year” category at the Toy of the Year Awards.
MGAE secured licensing partners worldwide across all major categories including softlines, hardlines, and publishing. New global licensing partners include, PhatMojo (the U.S., Puerto Rico); Intimo (the U.S.); Jellifish Kids, Inc. (Canada); Mad Engine (Canada); Danawares (Canada); BrandHouse Footwear (Canada); HEYS (Canada); ALPA UK (the UK); Smith and Brooks (the UK); C&M Licensing (the UK); BCI (Australia, New Zealand); Benson’s Trading Co. (Australia); Caprice Australia Pty (Australia and select territories in Europe); and HER Accessories (select territories across Europe).
Toys, crafts, activity, and party good partners include Amscan (select territories in Europe); Play by Play Toys (Europe and Mexico); Topps Europe (Australia, New Zealand, Latin America); Anagram/Amscan (Australia, New Zealand); RMS International (the UK); and Winning Moves (the UK, Italy).
Home décor and furnishings partners include Idea Nuova (the US); ERE (US); Aymax SPRL (Benelux); M. Toys Monoprosopi EPE (Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania); and STOR, S.L. (select territories in Europe, Middle East, Africa).
Licensing partners for back-to-school and stationery include Trends International LLC (the US, Canada); Innovative Design (U.S, Canada); SmileMakers Inc. (the US, Puerto Rico, Canada); IG Design (the UK); and Bio Pappel Scribe (Mexico).
