The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) planned a range of Licensing University sessions for Licensing Week 2017 that will cover the latest issues and trends and the fundamentals of how the licensing business works. Licensing University takes place from May 22 to 25 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. It is part of Licensing Week and held concurrently with Licensing Expo, which is owned and organized by UBM and sponsored by LIMA. The Expo opens on May 23.
Cole Gahagan, chief commercial officer of Fanatics Inc., will kick off Licensing University this year with his keynote address on May 23, at 8 a.m. Sessions during this year’s Licensing University line-up include: Basics of Sports Licensing; Brand and Consumer Research; Building an Entertainment Licensing Program from Scratch; Case Studies in Food & Beverage Brand Licensing; Everything You Need to Know About Royalty Rates; Managing an Overnight Sensation; Planning and Executing Your Social Media Strategy; and The Changing Landscape of Digital Entertainment.
