Joester Loria Group Renews Licenses for The World of Eric Carle with Kids Preferred and University Games, Signs Trends International
The World of Eric Carle has renewed its license with master toy partner Kids Preferred for an additional four years, in a deal brokered by The Joester Loria Group. Kids Preferred has been a partner for more than seven years, with programs consisting of plush, plastic, and wooden developmental toys in retail accounts including Babies “R” Us, Buy Buy Baby, Kohl’s, Sears, and Barnes & Noble. Kids Preferred develops a wide range of toys that encourage early developmental skills and playful learning for infants and toddlers. At the New York Toy Fair, Kids Preferred introduced more than 15 products, including developmental and wooden toys, soft teether books, tummy time play, and bath items. It is the first time that the Very Hungry Caterpillar is featured alongside other characters from Carle’s books, in a refreshed color palate designed to meet current market trends.
The World of Eric Carle renewed the license for games and puzzles with University Games for another three years, in a deal brokered by The Joester Loria Group. University Games and The World of Eric Carle partnered in 2006, creating engaging and educational games and puzzles for kids. New games and puzzles include The Very Hungry Caterpillar Twirl and Toss game; The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Friends I Have card game; The Very Hungry Caterpillar Counting Floor Puzzle; and The World of Eric Carle Alphabet Floor Puzzle.
The Joester Loria Group has brokered a deal to bring The World of Eric Carle to the sticker category with a new sticker licensee, Trends International. Trends will develop a line of sticker formats including Grab & Go, Flip, and Bitty Bit Packs, among others, available this summer. Stickers feature favorite Eric Carle characters, including The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Brown Bear.
