Firefly Brand Management secured a lineup of licensing deals for the Bob Ross Licensing Program. The new licensees span multiple categories including gift and novelty, stationery, accessories, games, toys, and collectibles.
Firefly’s newly signed partnerships for the brand includes Buckle Down for wallets, lanyards, suspenders, hats, and belts; Joseph Enterprises for a Bob Ross Chia Pet; Forrest Pruzan for games and toys; Funko for figures and plush; Running Press for books and mini-bobble heads; Spirit of Halloween for online costumes; Surreal Entertainment for heat-changing mugs, drinkware, coin banks, key chains, ceramic bowls, and cups; Unemployed Philosophers Guild for mugs, mints, bar soap, enamel pins, and sticky notes; Wellspring for jigsaw-puzzles, boxed greeting cards, and magnetic shopping list pads; and Rizzoli International Publications for adult coloring books, 2018 and 2019 calendars, and art books.
Bob Ross’s instructional TV series The Joy of Painting premiered in 1983 on Public Television, where it continues to run today. The series is carried by approximately 95 percent of all public television stations nationwide, as well as a dozen other countries, and includes a collection of videos, how-to books, art supplies, and certified Bob Ross instructors. The series also airs on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube and Twitch TV.
