Cartoon Network in France and public broadcaster OUFtivi in Belgium acquired broadcast rights Entertainment One (eOne)’s new 2D-animated comedy series Winston Steinburger and Sir Dudley Ding Dong. The show will begin airing in February in France and in June in Belgium.
The news follows the recent broadcast premiere of the show on Canada’s Corus-owned Teletoon, where it airs twice daily Monday through Friday, and on weekends at 7.30 a.m. Corus is helping to promote the show with content on its Teletoon social channels including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. An app based on the TV series recently launched in Canada and contains levels which are unlocked by codes that are featured during the broadcast of the episodes.
The episodes from the first series were recently sold to Clan TVE in Spain and BIGGS in Portugal, and the series has begun to rollout across multiple territories. The show will also air on MBC Group in the Middle East and North Africa in September.
