Genius Brands International Inc. (GBI) signed Fisher-Price, a subsidiary of Mattel, Inc., as global master toy partner for the new original CGI-animated preschool series, Rainbow Rangers. As global master toy partner, Fisher-Price will create a broad range of preschool products in the toy category, including dolls and figures, play sets, plush, vehicles, technology and interactive toys, musical toys, role play, and more. Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI) will debut the new retail campaign Marvel Heroes Come in All Sizes this spring. The campaign celebrates Marvel Super Heroes and everyday heroes to teach that the best way to measure a Super Hero is by the size of their heart.
New Marvel products will highlight this theme and be available in categories including, home entertainment, television, publishing, and digital content. Marvel’s Doctor Strange will be available for Blu-Ray and DVD release this month. Marvel Publishing will also launch the new Monsters Unleashed! comic series, and Disney Publishing will release The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World, a picture book featuring Baby Groot. Cartoon Network EMEA unveiled developments for The Powerpuff Girls in preparation for Spielwarenmesse 2017. Cartoon Network will rollout the toy range to Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) retailers and boost broadcast exposure through the signing of new free-to-air deals.
Since Cartoon Network launched the new series of The Powerpuff Girls last April, the first wave of product has already hit shelves across EMEA. The merchandise rollout is lead by the global master toy range from Spin Master with fashion, accessories, gifting, homewares, personal care, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and back-to-school products. Sesame Workshop named Sambro International as its licensee to develop a new range of Sesame Street plush toys, bags, and arts and crafts for the UK, Benelux, Iberia, the Nordic countries, and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
CPLG, Sesame Workshop’s licensing representative in the territories, helped broker the deal. Sambro will create a variety of branded products to build a strong presence with major retailers working closely with CPLG’s local network of offices.

The revival of Cartoon Network’s franchise The Powerpuff Girls made a debut across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) last April. As London Toy Fair prepares to open its doors, Cartoon Network details the UK launch plans for the new The Powerpuff Girls range from global toy partner Spin Master.
Argos debuted the initial rollout this month, including the Story Maker play set and plush from its online catalogue. The launch is supported by a TV and digital campaign.

In December, a line-up of Mundo Lanugo Christmas carols were released. Licensing Works! plans to expand its outreach and currently seeks licensing partners for this year’s Christmas merchandise, which will include plush, books, toys, games, music, ornaments, apparel, packaged grocery, live touring shows, and in-store promotional programs.
This January, Mundo Lanugo was featured at Macy’s in an expanded Three Kings celebration for the fourth consecutive year as part of the New Year celebrations.

Entertainment One (eOne) shares plans for the retail launch of Peppa Pig in India. The TV series made its broadcast debut in the country last summer on VOOT Kids, the video on demand (VoD) destination by Viacom18 for kids’ content in India. Peppa Pig also made its debut on Nickelodeon preschool channel Nick Jr. India this month.
