Pop Warner Little Scholars secured marketing agency Ignite2X to develop official licensed merchandise under the Pop Warner brand. Pop Warner is known for its youth football, cheer and dance, and scholastic programs.
The range will include sports, fan, and lifestyle merchandise, including apparel and accessories, school supplies, home accents, collectibles, toys, accessories, electronic games, apps, and more.
The licensing effort is led by Ignite2X with licensing veteran Alita Friedman. The deal will include the Pop Warner football and cheer divisions.

American Greetings Entertainment (AGE) appointed DHX Media’s WildBrain to manage the Madballs YouTube channel, create original content, and grow the audience for the brand.
WildBrain will launch the Madballs channel next month with new animated shorts produced by Oddbot Studios, American Greetings, and Just Play. Starring Skull Face, Oculus, Screamin’ Meemie, Dust Brain, Horn Head, and Slobulus, new content produced by WildBrain will also provide live-action, stop motion, and traditional animation. LEGO Systems Inc. introduced its collection of building sets inspired by the DC Super Hero Girls series at the North American International Toy Fair. Jazwares partnered with NERF, in collaboration with Hasbro, to introduce a NERF line that includes targets, tactical gear, storage, and more.
Jazwares will offer a variety of products to enhance the NERF lifestyle and blaster play. In addition, Jazwares will also extend the Nerf Sports segment with indoor and outdoor sports and games. The Jazwares Nerf Collection will be available at major retailers this fall in North American and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Cra-Z-Art partnered with Japan-based Dmet Properties to market and distribute BeatMoovz in the U.S. The announcement was made this week at the North American International Toy Fair.
BeatMoovz includes two wristbands that users wear to enable the device to play music and special effect sounds. Using the compatible app, kids can move, dance, and create musical beats.
BeatMoovz is expected to launch at major retailers this August. Global patent is pending.
Breyer Animal Creations was named specialty toy licensee for the new DreamWorks Animation Television series DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free. Breyer debuted the new line at the North American International Toy Fair this week.
The Netflix original series DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free will launch exclusively on May 5. Inspired by the 2002 film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, the reimagined story will enchant a new generation. Lucky, a gutsy twelve‐year‐old girl, befriends a wild mustang she names Spirit. DHX Brands Built Games, a video game developer and publisher, as part of nine new Teletubbies consumer products deals brokered via CPLG North America.
This spring, Built Games will launch Teletubbies Play Time, an interactive mobile app for kids that will help promote early learning, while engaging users and developing their senses and motor skills. JAKKS Pacific Inc. partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), on behalf of DC Entertainment, for a multi-year, global licensing deal to manufacture, market, and distribute large action pose dolls, dress-up, and Get Ready for Action items based on the DC Super Hero Girls universe.
DC Super Hero Girls follows female Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the DC universe during their high school years, before they discover their full super power potential. Each character has their own storyline that explores what teen life is like as a Super Hero, including discovering unique abilities, nurturing powers, and mastering the fundamentals of being a hero.
The DC Super Hero Girls line will be available at retailers this fall.
One Animation appointed Brandgenuity as licensing agent in the U.S. and Canada for the animated series Oddbods. The New York-based agency will build a licensing program for the Oddbods brand in categories including publishing, toys and games, apparel and accessories, back-to-school, home, gifts, social expression, experiences, and more.
The non-dialogue, slap-stick comedy follows the madcap antics of seven adorable yet quirky friends, surviving the perils of everyday life with hilarious consequences. These vignettes are stories, told in 7-, 5-, and 1-minute episodes.
