Breyer to Introduce DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free Toy Line This Summer

BreyerLogoBreyer Animal Creations was named specialty toy licensee for the new DreamWorks Animation Television series DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free. Breyer debuted the new line at the North American International Toy Fair this week.

The Netflix original series DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free will launch exclusively on May 5. Inspired by the 2002 film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, the reimagined story will enchant a new generation. Lucky, a gutsy twelveyearold girl, befriends a wild mustang she names Spirit. Jakks_DCSuperHeroGirlsJAKKS Pacific Inc. partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP), on behalf of DC Entertainment, for a multi-year, global licensing deal to manufacture, market, and distribute large action pose dolls, dress-up, and Get Ready for Action items based on the DC Super Hero Girls universe.

DC Super Hero Girls follows female Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the DC universe during their high school years, before they discover their full super power potential. Each character has their own storyline that explores what teen life is like as a Super Hero, including discovering unique abilities, nurturing powers, and mastering the fundamentals of being a hero.

The DC Super Hero Girls line will be available at retailers this fall.

One Animation Appoints Brandgenuity as Licensing Agent in the U.S.

brandgenuity_logoOne Animation appointed Brandgenuity as licensing agent in the U.S. and Canada for the animated series Oddbods. The New York-based agency will build a licensing program for the Oddbods brand in categories including publishing, toys and games, apparel and accessories, back-to-school, home, gifts, social expression, experiences, and more.

The non-dialogue, slap-stick comedy follows the madcap antics of seven adorable yet quirky friends, surviving the perils of everyday life with hilarious consequences. These vignettes are stories, told in 7-, 5-, and 1-minute episodes.

3Doodler to Introduce Licensed Kits

3doodler3Doodler entered licensing agreements with Cartoon Network, CBS Consumer Products, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation for themed kits this year.

The 3Doodler Create will expand with a 3Doodler Create Star Trek Pen Set. Under license by CBS Consumer Products, adults can build new worlds in 3-D, and create life forms and civilizations from the franchise. Funko Named Master Toy Licensee for Adult Swim Series Rick and Morty

FunkoCartoon Network Enterprises names Funko master toy partner for Adult Swim brand Rick and Morty. The new range of products will be available at select mass retailers nationwide.

The first products to be introduced in the collection include Galactic Plushies, Mystery Minis, and Pocket Pop! keychains. Funko will also expand its Rick and Morty vinyl figure collection with the addition of seven new, highly detailed figures. The company will also debut the first fully-posable, articulated action figure line for Rick and Morty.  Each character within the assortment includes a unique bonus piece.  Additional products, including role-play toys, novelty housewares and home décor, apparel, and accessories, will also rollout later this year. Disney Channel Renews Elena of Avalor for Season Three, Expands Licenses

ELENADisney Channel ordered a third season of Elena of Avalor, an animated series that follows a brave and adventurous teenager who rules her kingdom. The series premiered last summer in the U.S. and targets kids ages 2 to 11. Elena of Avalor holds the number one spot in its timeslot in the U.S., the UK, Spain, and Portugal.
