The Ghostbusters franchise quickly expanding to films, games, apparel, board games, books, costumes, toys, and collectibles. Ghostbusters: The Board Game has been launched by a successful kick-starter campaign in partnership with Cryptozoic Entertainment. This is the first officially licensed Ghostbusters tabletop game in 30 years and will be distributed to retailers this month.
In the past, the Atari video game and Mattel’s line of collectibles helped develop the Ghostbuster merchandise. Ghostbuster mobile games are also on their way with Beeline Interactive Inc.’s Ghostbusters Puzzle Fighter, a match-three, puzzle, battle game.
Rubie’s Costume Co. has been developing Ghostbuster suits for the past decade and is expanding its costume line to include kids, women, pets, and a Halloween line. Ghostbusters has partnered with Mad Engine, Freeze, Mighty Fine, and Signorelli to create a line of T-shirts, hoodie sweatshirts, jackets, and jumpsuits.
The book Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History by Daniel Wallace will look back at three decades of the franchise, including films, comics, toys, video games, and the animated shows The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters, and Underground Toys and Funko will develop a line of collectibles.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) has partnered with Rubie’s Costume Co., Promotional Partners Worldwide (PPW) Toys, and ICup Inc. to introduce a new range of adult, children, and pet costumes for Halloween.
The National Retail Federation’s Halloween Consumer Top Costumes Survey indicates that Batman has ranked in the top three places in adult, kids, and pet categories. The Deluxe Batman Unlimited kids costume and the Batman Unlimited Nightwing costume are ready for little fans to keep Gotham city safe. Adults can join the Dark Knight by changing into the Batman: Arkham Knight Harley Quinn Deluxe costume.

Rubie’s Costume Co. Inc. has partnered with Marvel to produce officially licensed costumes, masks, and accessories for Ant-Man.
The Ant-Man collection includes Ant-Man and Yellow Jacket costumes available in child and adult sizes.

Rubie’s Costume Co. has launched officially licensed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) costumes, masks, and accessories. The line is under license from Nickelodeon and is inspired by the upcoming film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, by Nickelodeon Movies and distributed by Paramount Pictures.
The costume collection is a modern interpretation of the franchise and will include characters Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello available in child and adult sizes. The line is available now for Halloween, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie will hit theaters on Aug. 8.
Jakks Pacific’s costume division, Disguise, has renewed and expanded agreements to produce Halloween costumes this fall.
The agreement spans multiple companies, including American Greeting Properties (Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake), Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products (The Simpsons and Family Guy), and Warner Bros. Consumer Products (Austin Powers).
All costumes will be available for Halloween, with the exception of Strawberry Shortcake, which will hit stores for the fall 2015 season.

Saban’s Power Rangers Megaforce is celebrating the Halloween season with a variety of Power Rangers activities throughout October.
First, the Power Rangers have a Halloween safety campaign, highlighting safety tips for kids to use while trick-or-treating. The Halloween safety video can be seen across multiple kids’ platforms.
Fans can also attend the Power Rangers Weekend at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando, Fla., October 18-20. This weekend will feature a Train Like a Ranger lunch, meet-and-greets with the Power Rangers, and a sneak peek screening of the Halloween special, Raising Spirits, before it airs on Nickelodeon. Attendees will also receive Mega giveaways.
The Power Rangers have also joined forces with Spirit Halloween for a second annual Power Rangers Spirit of Children Week, in which the Power Rangers Megaforce will visit 16 hospitals across the country to entertain young patients.
