Fox Television Group and Twentieth Century Fox Film appointed Jim Fielding as president of consumer products and innovation. Fielding will oversee licensing, product development, and new business opportunities in the consumer retail space across both businesses and FX Networks. Fielding, who most recently served as Global Head of Consumer Products and Retail for DreamWorks Animation, will begin his new role on Jan. 23 and be based in Los Angeles. Discovery Consumer Products partnered with Macy’s for the Say Yes to the Prom dress and jewelry line. Featured as a shop in the juniors department, the Say Yes to the Prom collection will consist of gowns and a full line of jewelry available exclusively in 200 Macy’s department stores nationwide beginning next month.
The line will be available at select Macy’s beginning Jan. 30, in time for TLC’s sixth annual Say Yes to the Prom initiative, which offers U.S. high school students across the country the opportunity to have the prom of their dreams with educational extensions that prepare them for college and careers. Say Yes to the Prom features a day of mentorship, prom dress shopping or tuxedo rental fittings, makeovers from Say Yes to the Dress’ Monte Durham, as well as scholarship and internship opportunities.
Cat Deeley, actress, model, and host of So You Think You Can Dance, will guest star in special feature episode of the preschool series Kate & Mim-Mim. “Kate in Oz,” features Deeley as the wicked witch and will premiere on Disney Junior next month.
A sneak peek at Gwen Stefani’s new fashion doll line from Mattel was recently released. The new line, Kuu Kuu Harajuku will be available in the spring. Stefani’s new animated series, Kuu Kuu Harajuku premiered on Nickelodeon in the U.S. this month.
Firefly Brand Management signed an exclusive agreement with Dosis Fragrance to create a branded signature perfume for actress and singer, Laura Marano. The new fragrance line will launch this holiday season and will be sold at retailers across the U.S. In addition to three different scents, specially designed holiday gift set.
Earlier this year, Firefly also announced their deal with Evy of California for the launch of the Laura Marano apparel line, available next year.

The Isaac Hayes Estate has signed an exclusive representation agreement with Beanstalk. The late soul singer, songwriter, actor, producer, and voice artist will be represented under the agency’s Icon Representation division.
Beanstalk will represent the personality rights for use in advertising, media, and long-term brand associations.
Warner Bros. Pictures’ new animated adventure film in the Lego franchise, The Lego Ninjago Movie, has finalized its cast, which will include Dave Franco, Justin Theroux, Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson, Olivia Munn, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Peña, Zach Woods, and Jackie Chan. The film is slated for a nationwide release on September 22, next year.
The Lego Ninjago Movie revolves around a battle for Ninjago City where Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, must defeat evil warlord Garmadon. He is assisted in his quest by his friends, by the Lego Master Builders, and led by kung fu Master Wu. Chan will play Master Wu, Theroux is Garmadon, Franco plays Lloyd, and Munn is Lloyd’s mom, Koko.
