Anime NYC Announces Schedule of Events for Inaugural Show

NYCAnime_CosplayAnime NYC, powered by Crunchyroll and presented by LeftField Media, will present three days of programs about the anime industry, gaming, and more at the inaugural show at the Javits Center in New York from November 17 to 19.

King Features, Spirit of Cadeau Launch Betty Boop, Popeye Pre-Paid Cards

The new gift cards may be loaded in increments of 20€ to 250€, and may be used all at once or at several times until all of the money is spent. The deal with Spirit of Cadeau was brokered by Biplano, the King Features licensing agent in France.


Merlin Entertainments to Open LEGOLAND Location in New York

Legoland_NYMerlin Entertainments is moving forward with plans to build a new LEGOLAND location in New York. The new location will open in 2020 in Goshen.

After more than a year of public meetings and hearings in addition to a thorough and transparent review process by officials, LEGOLAND New York has been granted conditional approval of its site plan by the Town of Goshen Planning Board, allowing it to officially move ahead with building the park. UFC, Modelo Enter Multi-Year Partnership

Modelo copyUltimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Modelo Especial entered a multi-year marketing partnership making Modelo the official beer and malt beverage sponsor of UFC in the U.S.

As part of the multi-million dollar partnership that begins next year, Modelo will be the presenting sponsor for select UFC Pay-Per-View events and VIP experiences based in the U.S., along with signage and branding inside UFC’s Octagon.  Available at 200 Macy’s stores and at, the Say Yes to the Dress juniors collection aims to help young women and juniors as they celebrate milestone moments, including homecoming, formals, galas, and more. The new line features dresses at accessible price points.

Inspired by TLC’s Say Yes to Prom initiative to help teens who may not be able to afford a prom dress, the Say Yes to Prom collection launched at Macy’s last spring and featured more than two dozen gowns and a full line of accessories.

Cra-Z-Art, Kodak Partner for Puzzle Collection

CRA-Z-ART Kodak 1000Cra-Z-Art entered a brand licensing agreement with Eastman Kodak Co. to produce and distribute puzzles in the U.S. The puzzles will feature photo imagery and be available in different size piece counts, including 100 pieces to 2,000 pieces.

Last year, Cra-Z-Art entered the puzzle category with the acquisition of Lafayette Puzzle Factory. According to the NPD market research group, puzzles and games was one of the fastest growing categories last year, increasing by 18.

Cra-Z-Art’s Kodak puzzles will be manufactured in the U.S. and are expected to be available at major retailers this fall.

CPLG to Represent Yale University Across Europe

Yale_CPLGCPLG was appointed by Yale University to represent the university’s brand across Europe and Russia. Founded in 1701, Yale is an American Ivy league university based in New Haven, Connecticut.

CPLG will develop a licensing program that targets adults, teens, and kids across apparel, accessories, bags, and stationery. Products will feature the Yale branding, including its logos and the university’s mascot, Handsome Dan the bulldog. Universal Music Spain signed as the first licensee and will offer a range of men’s apparel in Zara stores worldwide this month.


eOne Unveils Expansion and New Rides at Peppa Pig World

PeppaPigWorldEntertainment One (eOne) revealed plans to expand Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park theme park in Hampshire, UK. The attraction will soon feature two new rides—The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride and Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club—that will open to the public in May.

The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride will take families on a tour around the newly extended area of Peppa Pig World in individual coaches on a monorail starting from the top of the Queen’s castle. Guests will also be able to hop aboard boats at Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club where they can cruise along the new water route around Peppa Pig World and discover Pirate Island.
