Kids Preferred will extend its collection of characters to include the Pete the Cat collection. The license was arranged by Clair Frederick of MerryMakers, Inc.
The new collection of preschool items is inspired by the book series that includes 50 titles. The books have been on the New York Times Best Seller list for more than 200 weeks, and have sold more than 15 million books to date.
The line will be available this spring and feature a backpack, a lunch box, kitchenware, placemats, blocks, books, and more.
Global Icons LLC and MCA Corp. entered an exclusive worldwide (excluding South Korea) representation agreement for the Magic Chef brand. More than a century ago, Magic Chef transformed the cooking landscape with the first oven temperature-control device.
Magic Chef and Global Icons will develop product categories to include household electrics, kitchen gadgets, cookware, kitchen textiles, and food.
Allure and Case-Mate collaborated to launch co-branded selfie cases. The Allure x Case-Mate selfie case offers adjustable, professional lighting to illuminate the user’s face with a soft glow. The selfie case is powerful enough to take up to 2,000 selfies on one full charge. The case debuted at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It will be available for purchase at select retailers in the U.S. and Canada in March in three colors: black, iridescent, and rose gold.
CJ Global previewed a signature collection of Corona audio accessories at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), under a license brokered by The Joester Loria Group.
CJ Global introduced a line of Corona licensed electronic products including speakers, headphones, and other electronic accessories. The Corona collection will consist of speakers, coolers, power banks, headphones, and earbuds, all with Bluetooth capabilities
The signature line will be sold at specialty accounts, online, warehouse clubs, and mass retailers.
The Tetris Co. LLC named Branding Streams as its merchandising agent for the Tetris brand in Canada. Branding Streams will create new product merchandising and promotional opportunities for categories including toys, health and beauty, apparel, home décor, party goods, and more.
FILA partnered with Mountain Dew‘s Green Label Exclusives (GLX) for the M-Squad design. The collaboration features an all-black suede upper with embroidered FILA logo branding. The pair sits on top of a DEW neon green outsole, carried over into a midsole. Other product highlights include GLX branding on the sock liner and foot-bed along with custom FILA x Mountain Dew branded packaging. The FILA x GLX M-Squad collaboration is available now exclusively at Footlocker & FILA.com.
Firefly Brand Management secured a line-up of licensing deals for Zoltar. Surreal Entertainment will create a variety of new products that include ceramic heat-changing mugs, drinkware, patches, key chains, wristbands, lanyards, paper weights, pen holders, coin banks, fleece throws, backpack clips, dice, and playing cards. Rock Rebel will feature T-Shirts at Hot Topic stores and other specialty retailers. Pollard Bank Note will produce Zoltar Lottery Scratchers this summer.
Sanrio partnered with ColourPop to introduce ColourPop x Hello Kitty. The new limited edition and cruelty-free collection will launch exclusively at colourpop.com to celebrate Hello Kitty’s birthday on Nov. 1.

AIA Bhd. partnered with Turner Asia Pacific for the Cartoon Network Move it Movement– presented by AIA Vitality, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur in December.
The Cartoon Network Move it Movement – presented by AIA Vitality will include mental and physical games, health check-ups, food and nutrition quizzes, and meet-and-greet sessions with Cartoon Network characters, such as Ben 10 and The Powerpuff Girls.
Edgewell Personal Care Co. hired Brandgenuity as its licensing agency to help launch a licensing program for Edge Shave Gel brand.
Brandgenuity will extend Edge to a variety of complementary categories, including soaps, body wash, hair care products, fragrance, and grooming accessories. Brandgenuity is working with Edgewell Personal Care on brands including Hawaiian Tropic, Banana Boat, and Playtex.
