eOne Extends PJ Masks Licensees with New Partners for Publishing, Paper Goods

40-17179-00-00eOne expanded partners for its preschool series PJ Masks, which airs daily on Disney Junior. Partners will launch a range of publishing products and paper goods that will be available at major national retailers in the U.S. and Canada this fall. The latest partners will expand on the collection from master publishing partner Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing.

Partners to launch products in the U.S. include Colorforms for reusable sticker sets and CSS for seasonal stationery exchange. Additionally, Parragon will feature a publishing collection and Redan will offer magazines in the U.S. and Canada.

Ranger Rob Series Renewed for Second Season, New Toy Line Set for Release

RangerRobRanger Rob, an animated series from Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana, has been renewed for a second season. The season is set to include 14 new episodes.

The series was ranked No. 1 for boys ages 2-11 on Corus’ Treehouse network in Canada during the fall 2016 season. Its rankings are also high in other territories, such as TF1 in France, Super RTL in Germany, Disney Channel in Australia, Nickelodeon in Italy, Canal Panda Portugal, YLE/TV2 Finland, and HOP Israel.

Fred Rogers Co. Renews Simon & Schuster as Master Publishing Partner for Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Adds New Licensees

Simon & Schuster will publish more than a dozen new Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood titles this year in a range of different formats including hardcover, trade paperback, and eBook. Skyrocket Toys, Marvel Partner for New Spider-Man: Homecoming Drone

Skyrocket_Spider-ManSpiderDroneSkyrocket Toys partnered with Marvel to reveal new, high-tech drones inspired by the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming film. Skyrocket Toys designed the functional replica of Spider-Man’s surveillance drone, complete with the free Spider-Drone app.

Mattel Introduces New Mega Construx Despicable Me Construction Line

Mattel_MegaConstrux copyMattel‘s Mega Construx brand released new construction sets based on Despicable Me 3, ahead of the movie’s release next month.

The new products include the Mega Construx Micro Action Figure Series, Despicable Me 3 Cheese Festival Assortment, Mini Vehicle Assortment, Agnes and Minion Feature Pack Assortments, Gru’s Water Motorbike, Family Luau Party, and Dru’s Transforming Vehicle.

The toys are designed for kids ages 5 and up and are available in stores nationwide now. Despicable Me 3 will be in theaters June 30.

Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, Mattel Partner for New Monster High Novel

MonsterHighBookLittle, Brown Books for Young Readers partnered with Mattel for a novel mash-up, Monster High/Ever After High: The Legend of Shadow High, written by the  Shannon Hale and Dean Hale. The Legend of Shadow High will be published in October in a paper-over-board format, with a 150,000 first copy print run.

In the new novel for middle grade readers, Monster High characters Frankie Stein and Draculaura are transported to Ever After High, where they meet Raven Queen and Apple White. The four discover that the Evil Queen has escaped her mirror in search of the ultimate power hidden inside the ominous Shadow High.
