The National Wildlife Federation partnered with Teacher Created Resources to deliver the first Ranger Rick reading, writing, and science program to educators, schools, and districts in the U.S. Teachers and students will be use the content and photography from the Ranger Rick magazine to enhance the learning experience. Ranger Rick’s Reading Adventures is now available to classrooms nationwide.

Turner’s Cartoon Network will have a two-day Imagination Studios workshop in Singapore as part of a global initiative to inspire the next generation of storytellers and creators. Imagination Studios is a global initiative by Cartoon Network that inspires kids to get involved in publishing their own content.

Nestlé Pure Life, and Crayola partnered to launch the “Share-a-Smile” national promotion to celebrate the creativity and individuality of children.
The “Share-a-Smile” campaign introduces a new collection of Nestlé Pure Life kid-friendly, 8-ounce water bottles with labels designed by children. The contest asks kids draw what makes them smile for a chance to have the designs featured on some of the brand’s 8-ounce bottle labels, as well as a $25,000 scholarship and other prizes. Moose Toys announced plans for its new toy line based on the mobile game Disney Crossy Road. In the game, players hop, dodge, and slide their way through busy lanes of traffic. Since its launch a year ago, it has been downloaded more than 31 million times.
The initial collection from Moose Toys will feature Disney and Pixar characters from the app including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Buzz Lightyear, Simba, Baymax, and more. The line will include collectible micro figures, backpack hangers, and plush, and will be available at select retailers beginning April 1.
The Slither.io bendable blind bag toys are now available at Target stores across the U.S. The blind bags will also debut at Toys “R” Us, Hot Topic, and other national and regional locations beginning next month. Moose Toys signed a licensing agreement with Build-A-Bear Workshop for an assortment of Shopkins plush and accessories that will launch at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores and buildabear.com late summer. The global agreement, brokered by The Licensing Shop Inc., covers Build-A-Bear Workshop locations in the U.S., Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Puerto Rico, the UK, and China, in addition to franchise stores in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Mexico, and the Middle East. Sesame Workshop announced a new phase of the autism initiative Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children, which welcomes Julia, a Muppet with autism. Julia was introduced last year in digital form and will come to life as a Muppet, in addition to a release of resources designed to increase awareness and understanding of autism.
The See Amazing library will add digital videos, books, and e-books, which will be available in English and Spanish. The “Meet Julia” special episode airs on next month on HBO and PBS KIDS in the U.S. and around the world on Cartoonito UK, Australia’s ABC network, and Mexico’s Televisa, with worldwide rollout planned within the year.
