Mattel Introduces New Mega Construx Despicable Me Construction Line

Mattel_MegaConstrux copyMattel‘s Mega Construx brand released new construction sets based on Despicable Me 3, ahead of the movie’s release next month.

The new products include the Mega Construx Micro Action Figure Series, Despicable Me 3 Cheese Festival Assortment, Mini Vehicle Assortment, Agnes and Minion Feature Pack Assortments, Gru’s Water Motorbike, Family Luau Party, and Dru’s Transforming Vehicle.

The toys are designed for kids ages 5 and up and are available in stores nationwide now. Despicable Me 3 will be in theaters June 30.

 

Cartoon Network Announces New Partners for We Bare Bears

NumNoms_Menchie'sMGA Entertainment (MGAE) and Menchie’s, a self-serve frozen yogurt franchise, partnered for an exclusive promotion in the U.S. The new Num Noms collectibles line will launch a Menchie’s starter pack that features the Menchie’s Sweet Friends, available only at Toys “R” Us stores in the U.S. and online beginning this July.
To kickoff the campaign, more than 400 Menchie’s stores in the U.S. will feature two exclusively designed, limited edition frozen yogurt cups.

Rovio Entertainment appointed Evolution as its licensing agent in the U.S., focusing on consumer products and retail expansion. Evolution will represent Rovio’s ongoing Angry Birds initiatives for merchandising, promotions, and retail opportunities, while looking to focus on the Hatchlings, the newest addition to the franchise, for next year.

In a separate but related announcement, Simo Hämäläinen was named senior vice president, brand licensing for Rovio Entertainment.

BBC Worldwide North America Adds New Hey Duggee Partners

BBC Worldwide North America added Children’s Apparel Network and Jay Franco to the Hey Duggee portfolio. BBC Worldwide North America’s deal with Children’s Apparel Network includes girls’ and boys’ apparel, swimwear, layettes, and outerwear, and the deal with Jay Franco includes bedding, bath goods, beach products, and storage products.

Hey Duggee currently airs on Nick Jr. in the U.S. and on Treehouse and BBC Kids in Canada. New episodes of the preschool series premiered this week on Nick Jr. Episodes from season one will continue to air regularly weekdays and on Saturdays.
