CPLG UK secured new partners for American Greetings’ Care Bears brand, which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year.
This month, Bio-Synergy launches Care Bears bottled water at Primark stores. Hachette joined as publishing partner and developed two new titles that launched in February, with additional titles due later this year. The BMW Group currently has a worldwide consumer products program that offers high-quality products to its consumers across categories including apparel, collectibles, video games, watches, and fashion accessories. Uniqlo will launch a Kaws x Peanuts collection for its Uniqlo T-shirt (UT) brand on April 28 at all Uniqlo stores nationwide as well as online. The line will feature a range of T-shirts and accessories designed by Brooklyn artist Kaws.
The UT collection features a wide range of pop culture icons from around the world. The graphics simply and directly convey the individuality and moods of wearers. Vans partnered with artist and illustrator Kendra Dandy to design a collection of imaginative illustrations across Vans footwear, apparel, and accessories.
Dandy is known for transforming her colorful illustrations into cheeky, smile-inducing patterns. The Vans includes Vans Authentic, women’s apparel, and accessories.
The Vans x Kendra Dandy collaboration was brokered by Jewel Branding & Licensing, Kendra Dandy’s global licensing agent. The line is available now in Vans retail stores and Vans.com.
Discovery Consumer Products and Uniqlo, a brand of Fast Retailing Co. Ltd., partnered for a new collection of unisex youth T-shirts. This marks the first global partnership between Uniqlo and Discovery Consumer Products and will be supported with a worldwide digital marketing campaign, in-store promotion, and cross promotion between the two brands. Following the announcement that CPLG will represent the Parental Advisory brand, the first wave of market leading licensees will include Trademark, Misirli, and Brand Clothing International.
Branded Clothing International will feature a line of nightwear and kids wear with the brand logo. Trademark will produce a range of apparel that includes tops, sweatshirts, hoodies, joggers, leggings, dresses, and bags. Misirli will have a range of socks and hosiery. All three partners will launch in product this spring and summer.
Turner’s Cartoon Network EMEA adds partners to the apparel and accessories category for The Powerpuff Girls in the UK. The announcement follows the recent unveiling of London-based fashion label Fyodor Golan’s line inspired by the animated series.

Pop Warner Little Scholars secured marketing agency Ignite2X to develop official licensed merchandise under the Pop Warner brand. Pop Warner is known for its youth football, cheer and dance, and scholastic programs.
The range will include sports, fan, and lifestyle merchandise, including apparel and accessories, school supplies, home accents, collectibles, toys, accessories, electronic games, apps, and more.
The licensing effort is led by Ignite2X with licensing veteran Alita Friedman. The deal will include the Pop Warner football and cheer divisions.

A series of Pink Panther collaborations were launched last month at the international Kids Fashion Trade Show, Pitti Bimbo in Florence.
The Fashion Comics project was originated by designer Alessandro Enriquez and developed in partnership with Pitti Bimbo and CPLG Italy, features Pink Panther in select kids fashion houses that exhibited at the show, including Ermanno Scervino Junior, Mimisol by Imelde Bronzieri, Monnalisa, Twinset by Simona Barbieriand, and and N°21. Spyder and Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media partnered for a two-year collaboration for a line of ski performance products inspired by iconic Marvel Super Heroes.
At the FIS Alpine World Cup Championship in St. Moritz, the World Cup Skier Jared Goldberg, Four-time Olympic Medalist Julia Mancuso, and Olympic Gold Medalist Mikaela Shiffrin will wear race suits with Marvel’s Captain America and Captain Marvel.
The full apparel performance collection is set to make its retail debut in the fall. More information on the exclusive collection will be released in upcoming months.
