Guru Studios Launches Licensing Program for True and the Rainbow Kingdom

TrueAndTheRainbowKingdomGuru Studio will debut a merchandising program for its new preschool series True and the Rainbow Kingdom, which airs on Netflix in the U.S. and CBC in Canada.

In addition to the previously announced master toy agreement with Toy State, the new licensing agreements include Palamon for costumes; American Marketing Enterprises for sleepwear; GBG Socks for hosiery; Chouette as master publishing partner; and Bendon Inc. for coloring books and art sets. Massive Monster Mayhem Adds International Broadcasters

massive monster maniaDHX Media added five broadcasters for season one of Massive Monster Mayhem, including Lagardère’s Gulli TV and Canal J in France, TVE’s Clan in Spain, CiTV in the UK, and ABC in Australia. Global distribution for Massive Monster Mayhem is handled by DHX Media, and the series is expected to roll out in these territories this year.

Massive Monster Mayhem launched on Nicktoons in the U.S. and Family Channel in Canada last fall. The consumer products licensing for Massive Monster Mayhem is managed by DHX Brands, with Alpha Group as global toy licensee, excluding Asia. Toys based on the series will launch at retail this fall.

Clifford the Big Red Dog to Launch Reboot, Licensing Program

cliffordClifford The Big Red Dog will return to TV for a reboot series. Based on the Scholastic book series by Norman Bridwell, the reimagined animated series will launch on Amazon Prime Video and PBS KIDS in the fall of 2019.

The series will still take place on Birdwell Island, but Clifford The Big Red Dog will also offer new locations. The rebooted show will have a strong emphasis on social-emotional skills, along with a curriculum designed to boost early literacy and encourage imaginative play.

Epic Rights, Elysian Brewing Co. Partner for Def Leppard Pale

def-leppard-paleEpic Rights, the global retail branding agent for Def Leppard, partnered with Seattle’s Elysian Brewing Co. and Def Leppard to craft the Def Leppard Pale.

The launch of the new brew on May 23 coincides with Def Leppard’s co-headlining tour with Journey, which kicks off on May 21 and runs through October 7. The Def Leppard Pale (6 percent ABV) will be available at most stops on the tour, as well as select bars and restaurants.

Masha and the Bear Season Three to Air on KIKA in Germany

MashaAndTheBearInk Media signed a deal to make season three of Masha and the Bear available across Germany on KIKA. The new season will debut on the national, free-to-air children’s channel on June 18, and then screen daily, with two episodes on back-to-back.

Additional channels to recently air the preschool series include HBO Europe (all Central Europe and Spain), Minimax, Czeszka TV, TVP Poland, NBCUNI France, Telequebec, France TV, Canal Plus France, De Agostini Kid, RTS Switzerland, and Tiny Pop and Cartoonito in the UK.

TCG, Marvel Launch Branded Home Products Line

marvel matTCG  will launch an assortment of  Marvel-branded home décor products for kids’ rooms. The debut line-up of Marvel Megamats, Gelli Mats, and Tidy Town 2- in-1 storage units will debut at retail beginning this fall.

Fandango Fanshop Launches Prop Shop

jurrasic-world-fandango-prop-shopFandango FanShop will launch its first Prop Shop, giving fans an opportunity to own official, limited edition prop replicas from popular films and franchises. In partnership with Universal Studios, Fandango FanShop’s first offerings will feature official prop replicas molded from original on-screen props from the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World film franchise, handcrafted on the Universal Studios backlot.

To enhance the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World prop replicas’ collectability, Fandango FanShop will provide an official signed certificate of authenticity issued by Universal Studios that will include the product number in the series, among other details.

FanShop will take pre-orders for the Jurassic prop replicas at Fandango FanShop leading up to the theatrical release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in June. Fandango is part of the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, a business unit of NBCUniversal.
