Buddy Thunderstruck debuts its first season on Netflix tomorrow. From American Greetings Entertainment, this goofy action-comedy follows the adventures of a semi-truck racing dog named Buddy and his albino ferret mechanic, Darnell. Buddy’s the brashest, fastest race-truck driver you’ll ever see. Buddy Thunderstruck will feature a 12-episode season.

Turner’s Cartoon Network will expand the imaginative worlds of its series Steven Universe with a new console game set to release this year. Save the Light joins the new original series and console/PC game OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. The new titles will engage fans with storylines, interactive play, and additional surprises only available within the console gameplay.
Cartoon Network will showcase Save the Light and OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes through PAX East. Save the Light is a RPG console game and sequel to the 2015 mobile title Attack the Light. Firefly’s newly signed partnerships for the brand includes Buckle Down for wallets, lanyards, suspenders, hats, and belts; Joseph Enterprises for a Bob Ross Chia Pet; Forrest Pruzan for games and toys; Funko for figures and plush; Running Press for books and mini-bobble heads; Spirit of Halloween for online costumes; Surreal Entertainment for heat-changing mugs, drinkware, coin banks, key chains, ceramic bowls, and cups; Unemployed Philosophers Guild for mugs, mints, bar soap, enamel pins, and sticky notes; Wellspring for jigsaw-puzzles, boxed greeting cards, and magnetic shopping list pads; and Rizzoli International Publications for adult coloring books, 2018 and 2019 calendars, and art books. Jakks Pacific Inc. renewed its mult-year licensing agreement with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media in China for merchandising rights for more than 50 properties.
The agreement includes Disney princess and Disney Frozen for the large doll category, plus new entertainment properties including Disney’s Moana and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The deal also covers dress-up, role-play, costumes, and masks and accessories, as well as properties for Disney Tsum Tsum collectibles, action figures, ride-ons, and wagons.

Turner’s Cartoon Network EMEA adds partners to the apparel and accessories category for The Powerpuff Girls in the UK. The announcement follows the recent unveiling of London-based fashion label Fyodor Golan’s line inspired by the animated series.
