UYoung, Sixteen South Partner for New Preschool Projects

LilyDriftwoodsBayChina’s children’s entertainment company UYoung, and Belfast-based studio Sixteen South partnered to create new global children’s programs. The first series is currently in development and will portray love and friendship across different cultures and nations. Further details will be announced early next year.

In addition, UYoung acquired all rights in China for Sixteen South’s animated mixed-media series Lily’s Driftwood Bay. Season 2 was sold to iQiyi, Youku, and Tecent.

UYoung works with international co-production partners to create shows that work for both Western and Eastern markets.

Zoonicorn, Future Today Enter Agreement to Air Videos on Happy Kids TV

ZoonicornZoonicorn LLC signed an agreement with Future Today to air Zoonicorn videos On Demand on HappyKids.tv, an online kids’ entertainment and education that features music, stories, and activity guides.

Zoonicorn launched three months ago and drove strong engagement from viewers, with 8 percent of views continuing to completion. Zoonicorn’s five music videos will be available On Demand across multiple platforms, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Sony, Google TV, Kindle Fire, Nook, Windows 8, and Android phones and tablets.

MBC GROUP secured basic cable and satellite rights to Splash and Bubbles in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, as well as worldwide Arabic language rights; Netflix acquired global streaming rights; Fox Latin American Channel LLP secured rights for Nat Geo Kids; and POD Worldwide acquired free TV rights for Thailand. Canadian public broadcasters TVO (Ontario) and Knowledge Network (British Columbia) acquired the broadcast rights to the series earlier this year.
