Technicolor Animation Productions, SIE, PGS Partner to Create Sly Cooper TV Series

SlyCooperTechnicolor Animation Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) partnered to create a computer-generated animated TV series based on the PlayStation videogame series Sly Cooper. Global distribution—along with licensing and merchandising rights—will be managed by PGS.

Sly Cooper follows the adventures of an irresistibly charismatic raccoon, a modern-day Robin Hood, who restores justice to his city one theft at a time. Sly is aided by his two best friends, a muscular hippo named Murray and a brainy turtle named Bentley. Hot on Sly’s trail is Inspector Carmelita Fox, a morally upright cop with an unfortunate crush on the charming bandit, as well as a band of villains.

 

Genius Brands International Appoints New Licensees for Rainbow Rangers

Rainbow Rangers newGenius Brands International Inc. continues to add key partners for its upcoming animated preschool series Rainbow Rangers with the appointment of new licensees including, The Bentex Group for apparel, Jay Franco for bedding and home décor, and H.E.R. Accessories for accessories.

Bungie, Activision Share Destiny 2 Early Ship Date, Global Launch Date

Destiny2Bungie and Activision Publishing Inc.’s Destiny 2 will have an early launch date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One—PlayStationPlus or Xbox Live Gold subscription, respectively, required for significant features, and beta access—on September 6. The PC version launch date will be on October 24 and is now available to pre-order via Blizzard Entertainment’s online gaming service, battle.net.

The game’s latest trailer debuted during the Sony Press Conference at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this week. The Destiny 2 console beta early access period for PlayStation 4 players who pre-ordered the game will begin July 18, while early access for Xbox One players who pre-ordered will begin on July 19. Following the pre-order early access period, the Destiny 2 console beta will open up to all PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players on July 21 and will conclude on July 23. Moose Toys Adds Bonus Day for Pop-Up Shopkins Macaron Café in NYC

ShopkinsDue to the fan response to the first Shopkins Macaron Café in New York City, Moose Toys will extend the pop-up experience for an extra day on Tuesday, June 20. There will be three timeslots that fans can visit—12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.—and reservations are required.

The café is located at 35 N Moore St. in Tribeca. Fans that were waitlisted should check the email address they provided to see if they are invited to attend the bonus day.

Activision Debuts Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Trailer at E3

Activision debuted the remastered Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy during the Sony press conference pre-show at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Players can now play new levels in HD. New additions to the franchise have also been announced.

For the first time Crash’s smart and spirited little sister, Coco, will be playable throughout the Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane TrilogyE3 attendees can test out the new game when they visit the N. Sane Crash Experience in the lobby of the South Hall.

In Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Coco has decided to hack into the Time Twister to travel back in time to help Crash in his previous adventures. Now as a fully playable character across all three games, fans can switch between playing as Crash or Coco. Both characters have an N. Sane set of special attacks, each with their own style.

Developed by Vicarious Visions, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy offers new lighting, animations, textures, models, and recreated cinematics. Full analog stick support and a unified save system and checkpoint system make it easier for players to enjoy the classic adventures.

Activision and Vicarious Visions will also debut a fully-remastered game soundtrack, as well as newly-recorded dialogue from some of the familiar voice actors who appear in the original Crash Bandicoot games, including Jess Harnell, Lex Lang, and Debi Derryberry.

Bobby Abley has created a Teletubbies-themed capsule range as part of his spring and summer collection for next year. The collection was unveiled during his catwalk show at London Fashion Week Men’s.

The line includes daywear and loungewear pieces, with a few womenswear additions. The collection features designs inspired by 90s nostalgia and incorporates the fun and colorful nature of the characters.

Hasbro, Harmonix Reveal Additional Songs for DropMix Music-Mixing Game

DropMixBoardHasbro Inc. revealed ten new songs and Party Mode for the upcoming music-mixing game DropMix from Hasbro and video game developer Harmonix Music Systems Inc. First announced in March, the DropMix game features multiple game modes, including Clash Mode and Party Mode that allows players to create unique mixes of songs by playing cards on a game board connected to a mobile app. The DropMix game will be available this fall.

Activision to Showcase Lineup at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017
