Jakks Pacific Extends Licensing Agreement for Power Rangers

Jakks_PowerRangersJakks Pacific Inc. extended its licensing agreement with Saban Brands LLC for Power Rangers, which includes the TV series Power Rangers Ninja Steel and the live action films, including this year’s feature film, Saban’s Power Rangers.

The multi-year agreement includes rights to exclusively manufacture, market, and distribute adult and kids Halloween costumes, accessories, and everyday dress up in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. The partnership also includes seasonal items such as ride-ons, ball pits, indoor furniture, and other seasonal categories in the U.S. and Canada.

GameCo, Inc. to Develop Video Game Gambling Machines Featuring Steve Aoki

GameCoGameCo Inc. entered a license agreement with Steve Aoki to develop an original new video game gambling machine (VGM) game titled Steve Aoki’s Neon Dream.

Scheduled to debut in casinos this summer, the game is inspired by Aoki’s 2014 “Neon Future” album. The first-person game will blend the controls of an infinite runner with the experience of Aoki’s music. Nelvana, Sprout Enter Broadcast Deal to Bring Ranger Rob TV Series to the U.S.

RangerRobCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana entered a broadcast deal with Sprout to bring its original series Ranger Rob to the U.S. The animated series’ first and second seasons began airing in July on Sprout.

Ranger Rob follows ranger-in-training Rob around the Big Sky Park as he ziplines, swings, and snowboards, discovering and exploring all that the park has to offer. Oggy & the Cockroaches Heads to Disney Channel Germany, Switzerland, Austria

OggyFrench animation production company Xilam licensed the third, fourth, and fifth seasons of Oggy & the Cockroaches to Disney Channel in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The animated comedy series will air on Disney Channel on Monday to Friday afternoons.

Oggy & the Cockroaches follows the prankish misadventures and confrontations between a chubby cat named Oggy and three pesky roaches. The series is distributed in more than 160 countries around the world and is watched in 600 million homes.

Teletubbies, Barnardo’s Partner for Big Toddle Charity Event

Teletubbies_BigToddleDHX Brands joined children’s charity Barnardo’s in this year’s Big Toddle as part of their ongoing partnership. DHX Brands’ Teletubbies will support the event, which launched on June 19. Both Teletubbies and The Big Toddle are celebrating their 20th anniversaries this year.

The Big Toddle helps nurseries and parents arrange their own walks for preschoolers throughout the UK during the summer season. Since the Teletubbies support began this year, there has been a 33 percent increase in the number of nurseries and parents that sign up.

Moose Toys to Debut Grossery Gang Movie

DHX Media, Virgin TV Enter Distribution Deal for Portfolio of Kids’ Titles

DHXDHX Media entered a distribution deal with Virgin TV UK for streaming (SVOD) rights in the UK and Ireland, and linear rights for its Irish network, TV3 Ireland, for a total of 615 half-hours of content.

A total of 30 titles from DHX Media’s library have been licensed on a non-exclusive basis. The deal includes seasons 15 to 19 of Bob the Builder, as well as nine specials; seasons 6 to 9 of Fireman Sam and three specials; seasons 1 to 5 of In the Night Garden; seven Air Bud movies; and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
