Anime NYC Announces Schedule of Events for Inaugural Show

NYCAnime_CosplayAnime NYC, powered by Crunchyroll and presented by LeftField Media, will present three days of programs about the anime industry, gaming, and more at the inaugural show at the Javits Center in New York from November 17 to 19.

Shopkins Live! Shop It Up! Adds Dates to North American Tour

The School For Scandal, Startford FestivalFollowing last month’s premiere of Shopkins Live! Shop It Up!, an additional 30 cities were added to the tour for next year. This is the first theatrical production based on the Shopkins toy brand, and the tour will visit more than 115 North American cities through next April. Tickets for the new dates go on sale to the general public on Oct. 27.

Shopkins Live! Shop It Up! takes audiences into the world of Shopville with custom-designed costumes, onstage characters, and unique video and set designs. eOne, Merlin Entertainments Enter Global Partnership to Develop New Peppa Pig Attractions

eOne_MerlinEntertainment One (eOne) entered a global partnership with Merlin Entertainments (Merlin) to develop and operate location-based entertainment attractions based on its popular preschool license Peppa Pig.

Saban’s Power Rangers Live Tour to Visit North America Next Year

PowerRangersLiveA live show based on Saban’s Power Rangers will debut on stages throughout North America in celebration of the TV series’ 25th anniversary. Saban’s Power Rangers Live will be an interactive, mixed media stage production with stunts and martial arts.

Technicolor, SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment to Co-Produce The Deep 4-D Theatrical Experience

TheDeep_Season2Technicolor signed an agreement with SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment to create a 4-D theatrical experience based on the underwater adventure series The Deep. The Deep: Mystery of the Ancient Amulet will premiere at venues globally beginning next spring.

The new 4-D theatrical event will provide a 12-minute, 3-D experience with exclusive 3-D CG animation, an original story line, and  special effect. Additionally, viewers will also experience a  4-D experience with vibrating seats, water spraying, bubbles, and more.  The in-theater experience will be available at zoos, theme parks, aquariums, and other venues worldwide. Peppa Pig Live Adds Tour Dates for Next Year

PeppaPigLiveThe new North American Peppa Pig Live tour Peppa Pig’s Surprise will visit an additional 33 cities next year. Following a 60-city leg this fall, Peppa Pig’s Surprise will resume next April in Las Vegas and make its first trip to New York City. The show will also visit 18 cities in Canada, including Toronto. Peppa Pig Live brand has sold more than 400,000 tickets in the U.S. and Canada to date.

Citi is the official card of Peppa Pig’s Surprise, and cardmembers will have access to a pre-sale as well as VIP packages, including a meet and greet with the cast. Peanuts Worldwide, Cedar Fair Extend Peanuts Licensing Agreement

PeanutsPeanuts Worldwide, a subsidiary controlled by DHX Media Ltd., and Cedar Fair L.P. renewed the license agreement to feature the Peanuts characters—created by Charles M. Schulz—throughout Cedar Fair’s 11 amusement park locations. The new agreement extends Cedar Fair’s North American exclusive use of Peanuts in its attractions, entertainment and sports, food and beverage, lodging, and retail operations to 2025. An added five-year option, exercisable at Cedar Fair’s discretion, brings the potential contract extension to 2030.

 

Technicolor, Merlin Entertainments Group Partner to Create Aquarium Experience for The Deep

The Deep_SEALife_EventTechnicolor signed a cross-promotional agreement with Merlin Entertainments Group to create an interactive entertainment experience for the animated underwater adventure series The Deep more than 20 aquariums in the UK and Germany. The events support the launch of the series’ second season, alongside a new mobile game from DHX Interactive.
