Wind Dancer Films announced a new slate of animated and live-action projects for kids. In addition to the recently-announced upcoming second season of Ready Jet Go!, the company collaborated with Carin Greenberg, Tod Mesirow, and Craig Bartlett to deliver a range of on-screen entertainment projects.
New projects currently in the works include Ready Jet Go! Season 2; The World Wide Webbers; Not A Box; Hello, I Love You; Muse Entertainment; Good Sam. Additional upcoming Wind Dancer Films productions include a range of animated and live-action series and films.
Azoomee, an entertainment app for primary school kids, partnered with BBC for a 12-month licensing agreement. Azoomee launched in the UK Last summer.
As part of a 12-month agreement, Azoomee licensed shows from BBC including Charlie and Lola; Horrible Histories; Katie Morag; The Next Step; Deadly 60; Nina and the Neurons; and Little Human Planet. Read the rest of this entry »
The Celia Cruz Estate signed an exclusive representation agreement for advertising licensing with Beanstalk. The partnership will extend the personality into advertising, long-term brand associations, and select product opportunities.
A native-born Cuban, Cruz was raised in working-class Havana and became a citizen of the U.S. after leaving Cuba. She went on to win four Latin GRAMMY Awards, four GRAMMY Awards, produced more than twenty Gold and Platinum albums, and received the National Medal of Arts.
Kaiken Entertainment was awarded the London Book Fair (LBF) International Excellence Award for Brand Licensing for the global publishing program for the Angry Birds Movie.

Sesame Workshop announced a new phase of the autism initiative Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children, which welcomes Julia, a Muppet with autism. Julia was introduced last year in digital form and will come to life as a Muppet, in addition to a release of resources designed to increase awareness and understanding of autism.
The See Amazing library will add digital videos, books, and e-books, which will be available in English and Spanish. The “Meet Julia” special episode airs on next month on HBO and PBS KIDS in the U.S. and around the world on Cartoonito UK, Australia’s ABC network, and Mexico’s Televisa, with worldwide rollout planned within the year. DHX Media signed an exclusive deal with ZDF to launch season one of its new Teletubbies series on children’s channel KiKA in Germany. The launch builds on the original version of the preschool series that first aired in Germany in 1999.
The global licensing program for the new Teletubbies series is growing rapidly, with more than 85 partners signed to date. The series follows the same four characters and styling as the original show, but brings a contemporary look and feel to the preschool properties. The series has been picked up by 24 broadcasters worldwide, as well as Amazon Prime Video in the U.K., where the commissioning broadcaster is CBeebies.
Gaumont optioned the global rights to Neal Shusterman’s epic trilogy, The Star Shards Chronicles, for development as an animated series. The author of more than 30 award-winning books, Shusterman’s novels have been translated into more than 20 languages.
The trilogy features six ordinary kids conceived at the same instant that a star exploded light-years away, transforming their souls into living star fragments and causing them to receive extraordinary powers. As they struggle to discover the source of their supernatural afflictions, they learn that only by finding one another will they be strong enough to defeat the mysterious sources that are attacking them. Julian Stone will serve as an executive producer on the new animated project.
Cryptozoic Entertainment and Cartoon Network Enterprises partnered to bring Cartoon Network and Adult Swim characters to Quidd, the iOS and Android app that lets fans collect digital stickers, cards, and toys featuring different characters. The app will include characters from Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, The Powerpuff Girls, Regular Show, The Amazing World Of Gumball, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, Dexter’s Laboratory, Cow And Chicken, The Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Clarence, and Uncle Grandpa. Jakks Pacific debuted its line of toys inspired by the upcoming live-action film Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The collection includes Enchanted Rose Jewelry Box, Enchanted Objects Tea Set, Belle’s Ball Gown, Belle’s Dress Up Accessory Set, Ballroom Belle, and Baby Belle.

HBO Global Licensing and Vintage Wine Estates released a wine collection based off of the HBO drama Game of Thrones.
The line includes Chardonnay, Red Blend, and Cabernet Sauvignon made by Vintage Wine Estates and winemaker Bob Cabral. Cabral crafted more than 100 wines scoring 95 points or higher on the 100-point scale. The sigil’s of the different houses inspired Cabral’s collection. Read the rest of this entry »
