Basic Fun! Launches Poopeez YouTube Channel

BasicFun!_PoopeezBasic Fun! launched its new web series Poopeez, which takes viewers into Kerplopolis, a toilet-themed city that features characters, including T.P., Skid Mark, The Toot Fairy, Dumpling, and Lil’ Squirt.

Basic Fun’s collectible toy line based on the web series will launch in January, and a licensing program for lifestyle and consumer products will follow the launch.

The Alpha Group US LLC, Netflix Enter Global Distribution Deal for Super Wings

Nelvana Greenlights New Animated Comedy Series D.N.Ace

Nelvana_DNAceNelvana’s original animated comedy adventure series D.N.Ace has been greenlit to start production. The series is created and executive produced by Matthew Wexler.

D.N.Ace will air on the Teletoon Network in Canada and will target kids ages 6 to 9. Each episode will be 2 by 11 minutes, with a total of 80 episodes. Dentsu and OLM will represent the series in Japan and will consult throughout the production process. Read the rest of this entry »

WildKratts9 Story Media Group licensed the fifth season Wild Kratts to Discovery Kids Latin America. The fifth season includes 20 episodes, making the total episode count to 138. Discovery Kids Latin America also airs 9 Story’s Nature Cat and Peg + Cat.

Wild Kratts also airs on PBS KIDS in the U.S. and TVO and Knowledge Network in Canada. Other seasons of the series are also under license to Discovery Kids (India and Asia), Pop (UK), RTE (Ireland), Super RTL (Germany), Minimax (Eastern Europe), DR (Denmark), RTBF (Belgium), VRT (Belgium), Canal Panda (Spain), TVC (Spain), SIC (Portugal), MediaCorp (Singapore), TVB (Hong Kong), Familia Play (Colombia), Canal Futura (Brazil), Minika (Turkey), Jeem TV (Middle East), E-Junior (UAE), Noga (Israel), and 9 Network Go! Sesame Workshop Appoints Mattel as Master Toy Licensee in Latin America

SesamoCharactersAs part of Sesame Street’s relaunch as Sésamo in Latin America, Sesame Workshop has named Mattel its master toy licensee in the region. As part of the new licensing agreement, Sesame Street characters will be featured on Mattel’s Mega Bloks preschool construction sets across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.

Mattel’s line of toys for Latin America will feature Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby, Bert, and Ernie. The line will be available in the region next May and the product range will feature plastic figurines and feature plush. The Jim Henson Co. to Develop Series Based on IAmElemental Female Action Figures

The Jim Henson CompanyThe Jim Henson Co. will develop a new animated kid’s TV series based on the female action figures by IAmElemental.  The series will target kids ages 6 to 12 and The Jim Henson Co.’s Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford will serve as executive producers.

IAmElemental female action figures are based on the qualities of the Greek mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher, Hypatia. The figures act as inspiring models for kids, and feature members including, Creativity, Ingenuity, Curiosity, Logic, Exploration, Mastery, and Oblivion.
