MasterChef and MasterChef Junior Products Debut at Home + Housewares Show

Endemol Shine North America, producers of reality competition series MasterChef and MasterChef Junior, have partnered with Unibrands and Wicked Cool Toys to develop cooking product lines inspired by the Fox franchise. The product lines were showcased at the International Home + Housewares Show, held this week in Chicago.

Unibrands debuted MasterChef-inspired BBQ Grilling Sets and Accessories, new for this year. For any home cook or grill master looking to elevate their grilling equipment, the collection will include a spatula, tongs, fork, and basting brush with signature stainless steel and rubberized grip design. Grill accessories will include a grill light and covers, and oven mitts. Thermometers will also be part of the debut collection.

Wicked Cool Toys showcased kid-friendly cooking with real-play patterns into the housewares category. From burgers and pizza to baking and breakfast, kids can become the ultimate home cook with the MasterChef Junior-themed cooking sets. Each set includes real cooking tools, plating suggestions to create elevated dishes, and recipes for all skill levels: Line Cook, Sous Chef, and MasterChef. The cooking sets debuted in November exclusively at Walmart stores and are rolling out to additional retailers this year.

Puma Launches Superman Kids’ Collaboration Collection

Puma has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, to create a kids spring/summer collection inspired by Superman.

The Puma x Superman collection includes classic footwear styles in mini versions, available in Superman’s suit colors, featuring the iconic “S-Shield” on the reverse. Available for kids ages 2 to 12, Puma’s iconic silhouettes including the Suede, Carson Runner and Cabana Racer feature modern Superman graphics on the side and logo insole. The collection also features accessories including the cape, a backpack, apparel, and graphic T-shirts.

The Puma x Superman collection is available in Puma stores, at puma.com, and at select kids’ stores worldwide.

Laura Ashley Signs Cari Cucksey

Laura Ashley is collaborating with HGTV personality Cari Cucksey to engage new audiences and old followers with Do It Yourself (DIY) projects encapsulating social media and personal appearances.

Known for her TV series Cash & Cari, Cucksey helps her audience spot antiques and collectibles. Starting March, Laura Ashley and Cucksey will provide crafters and home decorating enthusiasts ideas for home improvement DIY projects.

Five Nights At Freddy’s Signs Five New Licensees

Five Nights at Freddy’s signed five new licensees, including Rubie’s Costume Co., National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA), Trends International, Buckle-Down, and McFarlane Toys.

Rubie’s Costume Co., along with its Morbid Industries and Forum divisions, will create Five Nights at Freddy’s character costumes, masks, costume accessories, prop replicas, animatronic figures, trick-or-treat bags, indoor and outdoor Halloween décor, pumpkin decorating kits, and pet costumes.

NECA will create a line of large-scale foam figures, animatronic figures, electronic cord accessories, gift sets, seasonal lighting, 3-D figural wall art, role playing party games, novelty metal lunch boxes, fleece blankets, and character pillows. Trends International will launch Five-Nights-at-Freddy’s-themed posters, calendars, bookmarks, writing instruments, stickers, decals, temporary tattoos, gift-wrap, and gift bags.

Buckle-Down will create a range of Five Nights at Freddy’s belts, buckles, and key chains featuring the signature Buckle-Down seat-belt-style fasteners. McFarlane Toys will launch a construction range of Five Nights at Freddy’s buildable play-sets based on scenes from the game.

CNE Signs Six Partners for The Powerpuff Girls

Cartoon Network Enterprises added six North American apparel and accessories partners for The Powerpuff Girls franchise.

The Powerpuff Girls x Jeremy Scott collection from Moschino is available in Moschino stores and select boutiques worldwide. The line features an assortment of prints inspired by the girls, one-piece swimsuits, knitwear tops, iPhone cases, and bags.

Other partners include ABG Accessories for cold weather apparel and headwear, Accessory Innovations for bags, Everything Legwear for adult hosiery, Hybrid Jem for juniors and girls tops, Jerry Leigh for juniors and girls apparel, and Komar for sleepwear.

DreamWorks Animation Signs Multiple Licensees for Trolls

DreamWorks Animation has signed with multiple licensees across all categories. Hasbro has been signed for action figures, plush, and games; Random House Children’s Books will offer storybooks and coloring cooks; Hallmark will produce greeting cards and gift bags; Franco Manufacturing Co., Inc will launch bedding and bath products; Trends International LLC has been signed as a publishing partner and will makes posters, calendars, and stickers. Other licensees signed include H.I.S. International, Editorial Planeta, Ravensburger, Clementoni, and Procos.

DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls will debut globally this October. The film tells the story of Princess Poppy (Anna Kendrick) who must enlist the help of Branch (Justin Timberlake) to rescue her friends.

Macy’s, AwesomenessTV Partner for New Lifestyle Brand In Awe Of You

Macy’s partnered with AwesomenessTV to launch In Awe Of You, a new lifestyle brand aimed at Gen Z women. The line features dresses, clutches, and accessories such as nail decals, mobile chargers, and temporary tattoos.

Closet Wars, a new series starring YouTube twin stars Vanessa and Veronica Merrell, will feature the In Awe Of You line on the AwesomenessTV YouTube channel. The twins will use the fashion line to compete against each other in curating unique looks for themselves.

In Awe Of You offers young women stylish products for special occasions at affordable prices, including an assortment of dresses and separates ranging from $39 to $79. The product line will launch in February at select Macy’s stores and online at macys.com.

Saban Brands Reunites Paul Frank Brand With Founder

Saban Brands appointed artist and designer Paul Frank as director of creative development for the company. Frank is the original founder of Paul Frank Industries (PFI), the creator of Julius the Monkey, and the additional cast of Paul Frank characters.

In his new role, Frank will serve as a key player for PFI, bring authenticity back to the brand, work on new character development, and additional properties.

GBI to Launch Music and Fashion-Driven Tween Girls Brand Spacepop this Summer

Genius Brands International Inc. (GBI) will produce Spacepop, a new music and fashion-driven brand for tween girls, which features music by Ron Fair, character and fashion design by Han Lee, and stories by Steve Banks.

Currently, Spacepop features 100+ animated shorts. The chairman & CEO of GBI Andy Heyward, responsible for producing more than 5,000 episodes of TV series like Inspector Gadget, Strawberry Shortcake, Super Mario Bros, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch is spearheading the production process.

GBI has appointed Spacepop’s first licensing partner Imprint as the global master publisher. Imprint will launch the brand’s book series, starting with Not Your Average Princesses written by Erin Downing and illustrated by Jen Bartel in July.
