Cartoon Network EMEA unveiled developments for The Powerpuff Girls in preparation for Spielwarenmesse 2017. Cartoon Network will rollout the toy range to Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) retailers and boost broadcast exposure through the signing of new free-to-air deals.
Since Cartoon Network launched the new series of The Powerpuff Girls last April, the first wave of product has already hit shelves across EMEA. The merchandise rollout is lead by the global master toy range from Spin Master with fashion, accessories, gifting, homewares, personal care, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and back-to-school products.
In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the toy range launched last November following its debut at the Cartoon Network Zone in IMG Worlds of Adventure. The range launched in the UK at Argos and at The Entertainer last month. The line will launch in Spain this month at Carrefour, Alcampo, Eroski, El Corte Inglés, Toys “R” Us, Juguettos, Toy Planet, Mapa, Dimasa, Poly, and more.
Cartoon Network will boost broadcast exposure for The Powerpuff Girls following the new free-to-air deals. The Powerpuff Girls will launch on Gulli in France and on Disney Channel in Germany next month. In Italy, the show is already free-to-air on Boing. Additional FTA broadcast deals will be announced shortly.
