Nelvana Launches Digital Media Strategy for Mysticons


MysticonsCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana will launch the YouTube channel and social media pages for its original animated action series, Mysticons.
In anticipation to the upcoming premiere, the Mysticons YouTube channel and social pages are now live, with a website to launch shortly. Fans can watch a preview of the series online before the TV premiere in the U.S. and in Canada next month.
The online presence is part of a social and digital media content strategy involving more than 80 pieces of short-form original content supporting the brand, including introductions to stories and settings from Mysticons, DIY videos, and ive-action content that will be available to fans throughout the season. In addition, web games and an adventure role-play app will launch this fall.

Genius Brands Promotes Two Executives to SVP

GeniusBrands_SVPGenius Brands International Inc. promoted two of its top executives. Kid Genius Cartoon Channel president Deb Pierson was named as SVP, global content distribution and marketing, and Lloyd Mintz was promoted to SVP of worldwide consumer products. The announcement was made today by Genius Brands’ chairman and CEO Andy Heyward, to whom both report directly.

In her new role, Pierson will be charged with oversight of Genius Brand’s global content distribution business for its catalog of animation properties, including SpacePOP, Llama Llama, Rainbow Rangers, Baby Genius, Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club, and Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab. BBC reveals Jodie Whittaker as the New Doctor Who

The Legends of Lucha Libre roster includes Rey Mysterio, Solar, Tinieblas, Jr., Konnan, and more. The series’ first two seasons are available on Netflix in North American and Latin American territories.  Legends of Lucha Libre luchadores also appear weekly on Impact Wrestling, another nationally televised broadcast in the U.S., Canada, the UK, India, and South Africa.

 

Spin Master Expands PAW Patrol Roll Patrol Road Tour in the U.S.
