SpacePOP, Six Flags, VideoBomb Partner for Promotional Campaign this Summer

SpacePOP_VideoBombGenius Brands International Inc. partnered with Six Flags Entertainment Corporation and VideoBomb for a SpacePOP brand experience this summer.

Expanding last year’s partnership with Six Flags, 10 theme park locations will feature SpacePOP original content and music videos across the Six Flags Media Networks, sponsored by VideoBomb, a free mobile app allowing fans to incorporate their own content into clips of their favorite music videos. The content includes music videos and trailers that will entertain guests while waiting in ride lines, as well as music played throughout the parks on the Six Flags radio network. eOne Adds New PJ Masks Broadcast, Merchandise Partners in Australia

eOne_PJEntertainment One (eOne) signed a new free to air broadcast partner for its preschool superhero series PJ Masks in Australia where consumer products are poised to launch this summer.

PJ Masks debuted on air in Australia last year on Disney Junior. The show will expand its audience reach when broadcast is extended to terrestrial channel ABC KIDS, which will begin airing series one from in July. The first collection features 12 new nail polish shades, including Razzmatazz, Ceruean, and Carnation Pink. Each bottle is decorated with the Crayola squiggle. The partnership will last for one year and the bottles will be available at drugstores nationwide starting this month.

RickAndMortyCryptozoic Entertainment will release Rick and Morty: Anatomy Park — The Game, which will be available at retailers nationwide on July 12. The game is based on the “Anatomy Park” episode of Adult Swim’s animated series Rick and Morty.

In Rick and Morty: Anatomy Park — The Game, players become characters from the episode as they try to build Anatomy Park. The game sends players into the body of Ruben, a homeless man, in order to save the microscopic amusement park built from his organs. Players attempt to score the most Victory Points by the end of the game.

CapnCrunchCap’n Crunch selected the global brand consultancy Brand Central LLC to extend the brand into select merchandise and food categories. The brand will extend into categories including apparel, accessories, collectibles, and a range of consumables.

BBC Worldwide ANZ Extends BBC Earth Licensees

BBCWorldwideBBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) added two new licensing deals with Australia Post and Brownout Publishers.

Fans can purchase a collector’s package of stamps that feature natural history imagery. The stamp is on sale at the Australian Post Offices nationwide and at auspost.com.au/stamps.

Additionally, Browntrout Publishers will launch the 2018 Square Wall calendar this year. It will be available in both Australia and New Zealand and feature scenes of BBC Earth’s natural history archive.

Blue Planet II, the sequel to Planet Earth II, will also support the debut of these retail products. Blue Planet introduces audiences to the creatures that inhabit the sea.

Scholastic Acquires Rights to Children’s Books by New England Patriot Malcolm Mitchell

Scholastic acquired world English rights to three children’s books by Malcolm Mitchell, New England Patriot wide receiver. Scholastic is set to release a newly-illustrated version of Mitchell’s book The Magician’s Hat. The book will be illustrated by Joanne Lew-Vriethoff.

Two original books will follow the publishing of The Magician’s Hat. The book is intended for kids ages 4-8 and tells the story of a magic man who appears at a town’s library on Family Fun Day. Boots Extends Teletubbies Offerings

After last year’s success of the toy ranges by Character Options and MV Sports, Boots plans to extend its Teletubbies offering. The Solutions EU toilet training products recently launched and include the Teletubbies Step Stool, Training Seat, and Steady Potty. The collection is now available in store and online.

Turner Asia Pacific Invests in Pops Worldwide

TurnerLogoTurner Asia Pacific  invested in POPS Worldwide, which gives the company a significant minority stake in the digital entertainment company. This agreement extends Turner’s existing partnership with POPS.

Turner’s Boomerang brand launched in Vietnam last April on Pops Kids, bringing kids international animations dubbed in Vietnamese. POPS also manages Vietnam’s top YouTube channel and POPS Music. The company expanded the video network to Daily Motion and Facebook and launched a POPS Kids app.
