eOne Expands PJ Masks Consumer Products Line with New Soft Lines Licensees

PJMasks_SoftLinesEntertainment One (eOne) continues to expand its consumer products offerings for PJ Masks with a range of soft lines categories, including domestics, home furnishings, wall coverings, bolt fabric, and more. The new merchandise will be available at national mass-market retailers beginning this spring, with more to be available in the fall.

New licensees in the U.S. include Baby Boom for toddler bedding; Delta for Upholstered furniture and storage organization; FAB for piggy banks, mugs; Franco for juvenile bedding; Idea Nuova for slumber sets, furniture, storage, novelty lighting, wall décor; Springs Creative for fabric by the yard; York Wallcoverings for wall decals; Zak for drinkware and feeding; and Nuk for toddler sippy cups.

BGT judge and singer, Alesha Dixon launches the Powerpuff Girls Emporium in London’s Soho which celebrates kick-ass girls as research reveals just one in ten superheroes are female.Cartoon Network EMEA launched The Powerpuff Girls Emporium in London’s Soho district. The three-day experience will run from June 1 to June 3.

As part of the experience, guests will experience a range of themed activities, including a make-up and nail bar with its own punchbag, a “Powerpuff Yourself” area for guests to customize their own tote bags, a coloring wall, snake and rabbit petting, and a power science laboratory. eOne Extends PJ Masks Licensees with New Partners for Publishing, Paper Goods

40-17179-00-00eOne expanded partners for its preschool series PJ Masks, which airs daily on Disney Junior. Partners will launch a range of publishing products and paper goods that will be available at major national retailers in the U.S. and Canada this fall. The latest partners will expand on the collection from master publishing partner Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing.

Partners to launch products in the U.S. include Colorforms for reusable sticker sets and CSS for seasonal stationery exchange. Additionally, Parragon will feature a publishing collection and Redan will offer magazines in the U.S. and Canada.

Paramount Pictures Adds Partners and Licensees for Baywatch

Ranger Rob Series Renewed for Second Season, New Toy Line Set for Release

RangerRobRanger Rob, an animated series from Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana, has been renewed for a second season. The season is set to include 14 new episodes.

The series was ranked No. 1 for boys ages 2-11 on Corus’ Treehouse network in Canada during the fall 2016 season. Its rankings are also high in other territories, such as TF1 in France, Super RTL in Germany, Disney Channel in Australia, Nickelodeon in Italy, Canal Panda Portugal, YLE/TV2 Finland, and HOP Israel.

GlobalIconsGlobal Icons entered a worldwide representation agreement with International Franchise Corp. The deal spans across each of International Franchise’s frozen dessert brands, including Yogen Früz, Swensen’s Ice Cream, Dreamery, and Pinkberry.

Global Icons will look to create market and brand specific licensing programs for the different brands’ identity and image, flavor profiles, and geographic strengths. An emphasis will be placed on food, beverages, and housewares.

CPLG Adds Three New Space Invaders Partners

SpaceInvadersCPLG signed three new licensees for the video game Space Invaders to create lines for apparel and footwear. Fashion UK is on board to create Space Invaders footwear for both kids and adults, CWI will launch nightwear and underwear and has confirmed listings at George at Asda, and Fabric Flavours will launch kids’ daywear. All three are set to launch throughout this year.

Trademark Products, an existing licensee, confirmed new listings for its apparel and accessories range with GAME, Sainsbury’s, and Pulp for AW 2017.

Acamar Films Appoints ELC Europe, Mediogen as Licensing Agents

This month, Acamar Films appointed the licensing agents ELC Europe and Mediogen to represent its global children’s series Bing. ELC Europe will handle licensing in Poland, and Mediogen will manage licensing in Israel.

The collection includes a range of scented cosmetics for the body, face, lips, and nails including a body splash, an eye shadow palette, a lolly dots eyeliner, a lip gloss palette, blush shimmer pearls, and brush, or nail polish, stickers, scrub, and a top coat.

The scented products will be available this summer in drug stores, hypermarkets, supermarkets, department stores, and e-commerce worldwide.

Nelvana, Dark Horse Comics Enter Licensing Agreement for New Action Series Mysticons

Nelvana_DarkHorse_MysticonsCorus Entertainment’s Nelvana entered a licensing agreement with Dark Horse Comics. Dark Horse will produce a series of graphic novels based on Nelvana’s original animated action series, Mysticons. Set to be released next summer, the graphic novels follow four unexpected heroes who transform into legendary warriors and undertake a mythic quest to save the world.

Dark Horse’s Shantel LaRocque will act as editor on the Mysticons graphic novel series. Having previously worked on titles such as Hellboy, B.P.R.D., Fight Club 2, Rexodus, and David Mack’s Kabuki, LaRocque brings a knowledge of comics and genre fiction to the project.
