Pop Warner Little Scholars secured marketing agency Ignite2X to develop official licensed merchandise under the Pop Warner brand. Pop Warner is known for its youth football, cheer and dance, and scholastic programs.
The range will include sports, fan, and lifestyle merchandise, including apparel and accessories, school supplies, home accents, collectibles, toys, accessories, electronic games, apps, and more.
The licensing effort is led by Ignite2X with licensing veteran Alita Friedman. The deal will include the Pop Warner football and cheer divisions.

American Greetings Entertainment (AGE) appointed DHX Media’s WildBrain to manage the Madballs YouTube channel, create original content, and grow the audience for the brand.
WildBrain will launch the Madballs channel next month with new animated shorts produced by Oddbot Studios, American Greetings, and Just Play. Starring Skull Face, Oculus, Screamin’ Meemie, Dust Brain, Horn Head, and Slobulus, new content produced by WildBrain will also provide live-action, stop motion, and traditional animation. Under license from MGM Interactive, GameCo Inc. will develop games for its video game gambling machines (VGM) based on the TV series Vikings and the Western film Hang ‘Em High.
GameCo’s VGM is an arcade-style video game cabinet that features a single-player game adapted from top console, PC, and mobile developers. The VGM made history when it became the first skill game in the world to hit casino floors. A series of Pink Panther collaborations were launched last month at the international Kids Fashion Trade Show, Pitti Bimbo in Florence.
The Fashion Comics project was originated by designer Alessandro Enriquez and developed in partnership with Pitti Bimbo and CPLG Italy, features Pink Panther in select kids fashion houses that exhibited at the show, including Ermanno Scervino Junior, Mimisol by Imelde Bronzieri, Monnalisa, Twinset by Simona Barbieriand, and and N°21. Jazwares partnered with NERF, in collaboration with Hasbro, to introduce a NERF line that includes targets, tactical gear, storage, and more.
Jazwares will offer a variety of products to enhance the NERF lifestyle and blaster play. In addition, Jazwares will also extend the Nerf Sports segment with indoor and outdoor sports and games. The Jazwares Nerf Collection will be available at major retailers this fall in North American and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Zag, Method Animation, and Planeta Junior (Planeta & DeAgostini Group) partnered for co-production on the development of five upcoming animated TV series under the Zag Heroez label.
The collaboration starts with two Zag Heroez animated series Power Players, which features a team of secret heroes formed by a boy and his toys, and Pixigirl, which tells the story of a super-heroine with the supernatural powers of Mother Nature who battles evil witches in New York. Cra-Z-Art partnered with Japan-based Dmet Properties to market and distribute BeatMoovz in the U.S. The announcement was made this week at the North American International Toy Fair.
BeatMoovz includes two wristbands that users wear to enable the device to play music and special effect sounds. Using the compatible app, kids can move, dance, and create musical beats.
BeatMoovz is expected to launch at major retailers this August. Global patent is pending.
