It’Sugar to Debut Chupa Chups Shop-in-Shops in the U.S.

ChupaChupsIt’Sugar is bringing the international lollipop brand, Chupa Chups, to the U.S. with the launch of Chupa Chups shop-in-shops in more than 75 It’Sugar stores across the nation.

Chupa Chups shop-in-shops will be featured in all It’Sugar locations across the country, making the lollipop brand readily available in the U.S. In addition to carrying the signature lollipops, It’Sugar and Chupa Chups will premiere a line of apparel, squishy pillows, and other candy-colored accessories.

Chupa Chups lollipops, apparel, and accessories are already hitting the stores after their launch in Las Vegas last week.

The thriller follows a group of graduate students lured to Hawaii to work for a mysterious biotech company, only to find themselves miniaturized and cast out into the rain forest, with nothing but their scientific expertise and wits to protect them.

Content has been sold to broadcasters in Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Korea for shows, including Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Peg + Cat, Wild Kratts, Monkey See Monkey Do, Finding Stuff Out, and Get Ace.

Thailand’s TV3 has acquired the first seasons of preschool series Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood (80 11-minute episodes), Peg + Cat (80 11-minute episodes), and Monkey See Monkey Do (26 seven-minute episodes). The broadcaster has also acquired all three seasons of the live-action science series Finding Stuff Out (42 22-minute episodes).

Inventure Foods Expands TGI Friday’s Snack Line

Licensing Expo 2015 Reports Increase in Retail and Expanded International Profile

licensing-expo-2015Licensing Expo saw its most successful show earlier this month, drawing 16,150 attendees during the three-day event—a 3 percent increase from last year’s event.

This figure includes a 6.6 percent uptick in international attendance with one in three attendees coming from outside the U.S. The countries with the greatest number of attendees were Canada, Japan, Mexico, and the UK, with significant increases from Australia (up 31 percent), Brazil (up 30 percent), and China (up 12 percent).

The show, sponsored by the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA), featured 460 exhibiting companies in 232,000 square feet, an increase of 6.5 percent from last year. More retailers attended than ever before, up 15 percent. The Expo concluded with more than 70 percent of this year’s floor space re-booked for next year.

Press attendance at the Expo increased by 27 percent, with 152 journalists in attendance covering exhibitor news and events live from the show floor.

Licensing Expo 2016 will take place June 21 to 23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
