Disney Consumer Products (DCP) has launched a product line inspired by Disney∙Pixar’s original comedy Inside Out. In addition to Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW) and Disney Store, licensees including, Tomy, Freeze, Mighty Fine, KidDesigns, Ugg Australia, Jay Franco, Random House, and Chronicle Books have all signed on to develop a wide product assortment that includes figures, plush, play sets, apparel and accessories, home décor, novelties, tech, books, and more.
The Inside Out collection brings the personified emotions from the film, Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger, and Fear, to life through a variety of products available now at mass and specialty retailers nationwide, Disney Store locations, and disneystore.com. Disneystore.com also offers a personalized shop that allows fans to personalize a variety of items, including tech accessories, school supplies, apparel, and party invitations with their favorite characters from the movie.

Delta Children has created Paw Patrol Bedroom Sets based on the popular Nick Jr. TV show. All of the products are available now for purchase.
The line includes the Paw Patrol Plastic 3-D Toddler Bed, which has a steel and plastic frame, sleep rails, and 3-D graphics at the footboard; the Paw Patrol Multi-Bin Toy Organizer, which features nine uniquely sized fabric buns supported by a sturdy wood frame; the Paw Patrol Upholstered Chair; and a table and chair set with storage, which features colorful graphics, a spacious tabletop, and built-in storage.
ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) has appointed David Miller to vice president of digital games. In his new role he will help grow the reach of ITVS GE’s children’s brands in the digital games marketplace, with a particular focus on Thunderbirds Are Go.
With more than 15 years of experience in the video games sector, Miller will look to expand ITVS GE’s network by reaching out to new partners to develop games across a range of platforms. Prior to joining ITVS GE he was a marketing and new business consultant for Indigo Pearl UK, a public relations and marketing agency specializing in the games and technology sectors. In addition, he has held senior marketing roles at a range of games studios and digital companies, including senior marketing manager for Bossa Studios, marketing director for Namco Bandai Partners, and European marketing director for Capcom.
KidDesigns will add the Darth Vader Voice Changing Boombox to its line of licensed Star Wars-inspired toys. The boombox features Darth Vader phrases and real sound effects from the films and changes kids’ voices to sound like Darth Vader himself. Kids can also attach their MP3 players to play their own songs.
Perry Ellis International has reached a license agreement with Colors In Optics Ltd. for sunglasses, ophthalmic eyewear, and eyewear accessories, such as cases, chains, cloths and cleaners, under the Laundry by Shelli Segal brand. Licenses for the Laundry brand will now include eyewear in addition to fashion accessories, lingerie, outerwear, home, and fragrance. The new collection will launch next spring in premium department stores, upscale specialty stores, eyewear specialty stores, optical shops, opticians’ offices, and select e-commerce sites in the U.S. and Canada.
Investigation Discovery will introduce Women Who Kill, a new line of true-crime special reports at newsstands this summer. Launched in partnership between Discovery Consumer Products, the licensing arm of Discovery Communications and Topix Media Lab, the inaugural issue is a comprehensive collector’s edition of more than 50 of the most talked-about women who have killed people, from Jodi Arias to Andrea Yates, as well as those who were acquitted for such crime, such as Amanda Knox and Casey Anthony. Each story is presented in Investigation Discovery’s signature high-quality, in-depth reporting style, including an exclusive interview with Casey Anthony’s defense attorney J. Cheney Mason.
This marks the first publishing deal for the network, which debuted on air in 2008. Women Who Kill is currently available on newsstands nationwide and amazon.com.
Women Who Kill is a 100-page, special-edition magazine that delves into the back stories, criminal investigations, and courtroom dramas behind the most shocking and compelling crimes committed by women. Divided into five sections─Killing for Love, Killing for Money, Killing for Themselves, Killing for Justice and Not Guilty─the publication features psychological and legal analysis about these cases from a panel of Investigation Discovery’s on-air experts: Candice DeLong from Deadly Women and Facing Evil; Darren Kavinoky from Deadly Sins, Breaking Point, and Did He Do It?; and Dr. Michelle Ward from The Mind of A Murderer and Stalked: Someone’s Watching.
The series will continue with new titles hitting stands this summer and fall, each with a different theme. The next edition will be Unsolved Mysteries, featuring analysis from retired Detective Joe Kenda from Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda, will hit stands this July.
Shopkins has secured three new partners for the brand, which is represented by Bulldog Licensing.
Character World will develop bedding, curtains, fleece blankets, hot water bottles, cushions, rugs, sleeping bags, inflatable chairs, towels, bean bags, canvas art, toddler beds, fitted sheets, and robes. RMS International will launch a stationery and craft range, including coloring books, sticker books, and puzzles. Master toy licensee Flair is supporting the brand with TV advertising and in-store activity.
Other licensees include NJ Screen Prints for apparel, Pedigree for annuals, DJ Murphy for magazines, Winning Moves for games, Pyramid for posters, and Whitehouse Leisure for amusement plush.
Entertainment One Licensing (eOne) will launch a new program for its teen brand Skelanimals at Hot Topic.
Legacy licensees Lounge Fly and Toynami have developed new collections of bags, wallets, jewelry, and plush—many featuring newly released character Bonita the Unicorn—to complement fashion apparel and T-shirts from Iron Fist and Goodie Two Sleeves. The collection will roll out in July at hottopic.com and select Hot Topic stores nationwide.
In addition, the brand has recently signed on card.com to offer Skelanimals-branded debit cards online, and Nail Pop for nail decals that will be sold at specialty stores.
A series of comedic animated shorts will roll out in July, supported by paid media, and available on YouTube.
Entertainment One Licensing (eOne) and Kelly Teegarden Organics have launched the SO SO Happy cosmetics line, which will debut this summer at health specialty stores nationwide.
The collaboration offers consumers an all natural, organic, Ecocert certified makeup line targeted to young adults. Initial product offerings include lipsticks, glosses, lip treatments, and balms.
eOne has also signed card.com for SO SO HAPPY-branded debit cards.
This month, SO SO HAPPY launched its Spring 2015 fashion collection from Iron Fist. The line debuted on dollskill.com, and in anticipation of the launch, has been promoted on social media by influencers and celebrities such as singer Miley Cyrus and blogs StealHerStyle and Lookbook.nu.
