Clothing company bebe and producers for the TV series 90210 have teamed for the bebe for 90210 clothing collection. Developed in collaboration between producers and wardrobe stylists along with bebe’s creative design team, the new collection includes styles worn on the series by actresses AnnaLynne McCord, Jessica Lowndes, and Jessica Stroup. The line, available in a variety of fabrics and colors, includes dresses, tops, and bottoms.
The line will debut tonight, January 31, on the episode “It’s Getting Hot In Here,” and will roll out at retail on February 10.

DiMaggio, LLC—the sole licensing company and owner of DiMaggio’s name and image since the player’s death in 1999—has partnered with MODA Licensing, Inc. and Dominant Players, Inc. The newly created group, Joe DiMaggio, LLC, will promote and license the Joe DiMaggio brand. DiMaggio licensing will be developed by MODA, while Brand identity, integrated marketing and communications will be created and executed by Dominant Players. This partnership coincides with the 70th anniversary of DiMaggio’s famous 56-game hitting streak.
Morris Engelberg, DiMaggio’s longtime friend and attorney, will act as counsel for the new venture.
Modern furniture brand Blu Dot, has selected Brand Central LLC, to seek licensing partnerships and design collaborations. Brand Central will be seeking design collaborations and high-design licensees in product categories ranging from outdoor living and office, to home décor and tabletop. In addition, Brand Central will work on category-specific, co-brand collaborations as well as direct-to-retail exclusives.
4Kids Entertainment International, licensing agent for preschool property Penelope, has signed a new agreement with Paul Dennicci ltd to produce a range of children’s clothing for the UK market. The range will include branded apparel for newborns up to small children.
An earlier agreement with publisher Redan has seen Penelope appearing in two of its preschool magazines, Fun to Learn Friends and Fun to Learn Favourites.
Octonauts, the latest pre-school brand from Chorion, is finding success with UK audiences.
The animated show launched on CBeebies in October and has been a top-rated program for children aged 4-6. A second series has been ordered and is currently in development.
There has also been a demand for Octonauts’ merchandise, and a new toy range from Chorion’s master toy partner, Fisher Price, is scheduled for August. New products will include a range of figures, vehicles and playsets. Features include posable characters and color-change creatures, plus interactive GUP vehicles, which propel in water or land, squirt water and chomp. Publishers are already on board for complementary books including Simon and Schuster in the spring and summer in the UK and Hachette Jeunesse in France.
Hidden City Entertainment, Inc., the rights holder for Bella Sara, has announced that four of their horse characters, Bella, Foxglove, Sunflower, and Violet, will be included in Happy Meals throughout France beginning February 9.
Each Happy Meal will contain one toy horse and a card with a secret code. The secret code will provide an animated toy of the same horse for the online game Bella Sara Adventures.

The company began selling mismatched socks in 2004 but has grown to include accessories, apparel, room décor, books, and baby products.

Big Idea Entertainment, a faith-based studio and producer of children and family programming, characters and brands, will release their first new Easter holiday DVD in seven years, VeggieTales: ‘Twas The Night Before Easter, on March 5 and March 8, in Christian and general market stores, respectively.
‘Twas The Night Before Easter, which features a new character, Cassie Cassava, voiced by American Idol finalist Melinda Doolittle, examines the importance of helping others while exploring the real meaning of Easter. The title’s launch is supported by a marketing and advertising campaign with licensing and promotional partners including Gund, Toys “R” Us, Walmart, Target, American Greetings Interactive, Frankford Candy & Chocolate, and American Puzzle Company.
